Candice Kersh presented “AI, Production, and the Law: What Every In-House Team Needs to Know” during the ANA In-House Counsel Conference in Hunting Beach, California. In this session, Kersh examined the legal and practical considerations surrounding the use of artificial intelligence in advertising production, including AI-generated content, copyright and ownership issues, disclosure obligations, and the use of digital doubles and synthetic performers. She also provided guidance on compliance with the SAG-AFTRA Commercials Contract, production workflows, vendor management, contractual protections, and best practices for integrating AI tools into commercial production while minimizing legal and operational risk.
