Employment Co-Chair Wendy Stryker presents "Employment Law and Social Media: What Every PR Agency Should Know About Respecting and Managing Employee Speech” during the Public Relations Society of America's 2023 Counselors Academy Conference in New Orleans. This talk helps public relations agencies navigate complex legal issues, social media policies, and provide a better understanding of when agencies can encourage or discourage sensitive conversations around social/political issues both inside and outside the workplace, and when they can or cannot hire, fire, or discipline employees based on such speech.
