Gina is an associate in the firm’s Litigation and Data Strategy, Privacy & Security Groups. Her practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, with extensive experience in privacy, entertainment, consumer class action, and intellectual property litigation. She has represented clients in all phases of litigation, arbitration, and internal investigations, in state and federal courts, and in international arbitration proceedings. In addition to her litigation expertise, Gina advises clients—most often large, consumer-facing companies—on a wide range of issues at the intersection of technology and emerging legal risk, including artificial intelligence, website tracking technologies, and compliance with state and federal privacy laws. Gina combines her sharp advocacy skills with a pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach, enabling her clients to efficiently resolve complex disputes.
Her recent representative matters include:
- Defending numerous companies in consumer class actions and mass arbitrations arising under state and federal laws, including the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA), the Florida Security of Communications Act (FSCA), and the Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA);
- Obtaining dismissal of breach of contract and fiduciary duty claims with prejudice on behalf of commercial bank client, after arguing motion to dismiss in the Southern District of New York;
- Litigating breach of contract claims on behalf of screenwriter client in dispute with literary estate;
- Litigating false advertising and antitrust claims on behalf of major manufacturing client;
- Litigating trademark claims on behalf of emerging technology company, resulting in early and favorable settlement with large media company;
- Obtaining early dismissal of sexual harassment lawsuit on behalf of production company client.
- Gina maintains a robust pro bono practice, with a focus on civil rights and immigration matters.
Prior to joining Frankfurt Kurnit, Gina was a litigation associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. She is admitted to practice in New York and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
