Christopher R. Chase moderates the panel "Sports Committee: Stretching the Bounds of the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961" for the MLRC Sports Committee with Professor Matt Mitten of Marquette University's sports law program. The program will examine the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961—now under renewed scrutiny amid the rise of streaming—focusing on its purpose, scope, and limits in shielding professional sports leagues’ pooled media rights and other intellectual property licensing from antitrust liability.
