Walking the Talk on DEI: Planning and Implementing Your Company’s DEI Program
It’s one thing to envision a Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Program. It’s another thing to plan one. And it’s a third thing to plan one right –– meaning in compliance with federal, state and local rules. To help you develop a DEI program that serves the company, its workforce, and avoids legal pitfalls, Frankfurt Kurnit’s Employment Compliance, Training & Litigation Group is hosting Walking the Talk on DEI –– a series of complimentary seminars. Our first session, on September 28th, examines the early stages of DEI program formation and focuses on common legal traps to avoid. Subsequent sessions will cover recruitment and hiring; specific DEI initiatives; getting “buy in” from employees; mentorship; reviews and promotions; handling complaints – and more!
First session topics include:
• Defining your DEI program
• Undertaking a diversity audit
• Setting accountability milestones
• Communicating with employees and the public
• Updating your employment handbook and policies
• Understanding which laws apply to your program
• And much more!
