Privacy & Data Security Chair Daniel M. Goldberg is quoted in the article, “California AG Issues CCPA Warning To Mobile Apps" published by AdExchanger. The article discusses warning letters sent to businesses with mobile apps that failed to honor or offer opt-out mechanisms for consumers to protect their data. As the six-month compliance grace period nears the end for CPRA enforcement, businesses are expected to comply with the regulations by July 1. Daniel is quoted saying, "These warning letters are being sent out subject to the obligations in the old CCPA. Any violations under CCPA still have the required 30-day notice window.”
