Frankfurt Kurnit Law Firm Elects New Partners
January 2, 2020, New York, N.Y. - Frankfurt Kurnit Klein + Selz, PC has elected Kimberly Maynard and Wendy Stryker as partners effective January 1, 2020. They are both based in the firm’s New York office.
Ms. Maynard is now a partner in the firm’s Trademark & Brand Management, and Litigation Groups. A rising star in the IP community, Ms. Maynard was recently named to World Intellectual Property Review's 2019 "Influential Women in IP" list and has been listed in Super Lawyers for Intellectual Property for eight consecutive years.
Ms. Stryker is now a partner in the firm’s Employment Compliance, Training & Litigation Group. A leading expert in employment law issues for creative industries and modern workplaces, Ms. Stryker has been listed in Super Lawyers in the Employment and Labor category for four consecutive years. “We are thrilled to welcome Kim and Wendy as partners,” said Frankfurt Kurnit Managing Partner Jeffrey A. Greenbaum. “They are leaders in their fields who will continue to be a tremendous resource to our clients.”
About Kimberly Maynard
Ms. Maynard represents clients in a variety of industries including technology, finance, automotive, fashion, jewelry, food, television, and dance. She guides clients through all aspects of domestic and international brand-building and management, and provides risk-benefit analyses for development of new brands, and the protection and expansion of existing brands. In addition to handling the full range of IP license and settlement agreements, Ms. Maynard also represents clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and litigates advertising, trademark and copyright cases in federal court. Ms. Maynard is a member of the New York State Bar Association (Intellectual Property Group) and a member of the U.S. Trademark Law Committee (Intellectual Property Owners Association). She serves on INTA’s Young Practitioner’s Committee and was an Adjunct Professor at New York Law School, where she helped start the PTO Trademark Clinic. Prior to law school, Ms. Maynard was affiliated with Trisha Brown Dance Company. She is a proud recipient of The Legal Aid Society's Pro Bono Publico Award.
About Wendy Stryker
Ms. Stryker represents many top marketing services agencies, media and entertainment companies, tech startups, and other corporations, as well as not-for-profit corporations and executives. In addition to handling all aspects of employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, classification, and wage and hour, she helps clients manage litigation risk and design and implement compliance and training programs. A frequent public speaker, Ms. Stryker has spoken at South by Southwest and Social Media Week, as well as at conferences sponsored by the Producers Guild of America, the New York Fashion Tech Lab, and many others. She is the editor of the Media Law Resource Center Employment Libel Law chapter for New York. Ms. Stryker serves on the Board of Directors of the New York Civil Liberties Union and as a member of the New York City Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Committee. She is a recipient of the Urban Justice Center Community Development Project award for pro bono contributions.
