Frankfurt Kurnit Law Firm Promotes Top Litigation and Entertainment Lawyers to Partner
January 3, 2018, New York, N.Y. - Frankfurt Kurnit Klein + Selz, PC has elected Caren Decter and Hayden Goldblatt as partners effective January 1st, 2018.
Ms. Decter is now a partner in Frankfurt Kurnit’s Litigation Group and Securities Fraud & White Collar Defense Group. Mr. Goldblatt is a partner in Frankfurt Kurnit’s Entertainment Group.

About Caren Decter
Caren Decter has broad experience handling complex commercial, white collar defense, intellectual property, and advertising disputes. Ms. Decter is a tenacious litigator and highly skilled negotiator who seeks opportunities to forge creative solutions to complicated problems before they grow into drawn-out litigation.
Ms. Decter represents clients in the finance, legal, consumer goods, advertising, art, and media and entertainment industries in all phases of the pre-litigation and litigation process. Ms. Decter also represents individuals and corporations in regulatory and criminal investigations involving allegations of accounting fraud, securities fraud, insider trading, antitrust violations, and violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Most recently, she represented the lead cooperating witness in a years-long criminal matter stemming from the break-up of one of the world’s largest law firms. She frequently handles matters involving the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Department of Justice, and U.S. Attorney and District Attorney Offices. Listed in Super Lawyers, Ms. Decter is the Co-Chair of the New York County Lawyers Association’s Federal Courts Committee and a member of the New York City Bar Association. About Hayden Goldblatt
A rising star in the entertainment law community, Hayden Goldblatt focuses on motion picture, television, and digital media work. He has wide-ranging experience in all areas of entertainment and media, representing producers, production companies, writers, directors, documentary filmmakers, actors, financiers, and independent distributors. Mr. Goldblatt has negotiated complex single picture and slate multi-party financings both on behalf of producers and financiers, as well as structured multi-million dollar film funds. He has also structured and negotiated content acquisition agreements and output deals for innovative cutting-edge digital distribution companies and alternative content distribution platforms, including Tugg. Mr. Goldblatt has also worked on numerous branded entertainment deals, often helping brands and advertising agencies navigate their first foray into the film business. He has represented foreign financiers and producers, including from the United Kingdom and China, with respect to U.S. productions. His recent work includes representation of Topic Studios in the financing of the films, Roman J. Israel, Esq. and My Abandonment.
Recognized in Variety and Super Lawyers for his entertainment work, Mr. Goldblatt is a frequent speaker on legal issues in the entertainment industry, and has previously spoken at the Association of National Advertisers, NYU Stern School of Business, Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, Brooklyn Law School, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and the Ghetto Film School. Frankfurt Kurnit Partners with the Entertainment Software Rating Board’s Privacy Certified Program
Frankfurt Kurnit is pleased to announce that its Interactive Entertainment and Data Strategy, Privacy & Security Groups are partnering with the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) to enhance cooperation between ESRB’s Privacy Certified program and the firm. ESRB Privacy Certified assists companies in the video game and toy industries in implementing and maintaining lawful, transparent, and responsible data collection and privacy policies, as well as practices for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information and data. In 2001, the Federal Trade Commission approved ESRB Privacy Certified to serve as one of six Safe Harbor programs, overseeing its members’ compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
