Frankfurt Kurnit Represents Prodject LLC in its Sale to The Independents Group, Inc.
New York (April 6, 2023) New York-based Prodject LLC (“Prodject”), the renowned creative agency specializing in brand strategy, design and execution for events and content in fashion, music, art, and popular culture, was acquired by The Independents Group, Inc., a global marketing and communications company. Founded in 2011 by Keith Baptista, Jihye Song and Tobias Armstrong, Prodject has established itself as a leading creative agency for high end clients such as Cartier, Prada, Chanel, and Gucci, and is the driving force behind the MET Gala.
“This is the type of corporate transaction at which we excel,” said Frankfurt Kurnit Partner Michael Williams. “There are very few law firms that can combine the fashion and event planning world with M&A and tax expertise in a way that we were able to provide to Prodject here.”

Frankfurt Kurnit Partners with the Entertainment Software Rating Board’s Privacy Certified Program
Frankfurt Kurnit is pleased to announce that its Interactive Entertainment and Data Strategy, Privacy & Security Groups are partnering with the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) to enhance cooperation between ESRB’s Privacy Certified program and the firm. ESRB Privacy Certified assists companies in the video game and toy industries in implementing and maintaining lawful, transparent, and responsible data collection and privacy policies, as well as practices for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information and data. In 2001, the Federal Trade Commission approved ESRB Privacy Certified to serve as one of six Safe Harbor programs, overseeing its members’ compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
