IAPP Daily Dashboard and US Privacy Digest Publish Frankfurt Kurnit Article on CPPA’s $1.35M Tractor Supply Fine

IAPP noted that Mr. Goldberg covered the California Privacy Protection Agency's enforcement actions against the farm supplies company including a record-setting fine for allegedly violating the state's data and opt-out laws. IAPP highlighted Mr. Goldberg's observations that "the fine may have been larger than usual because of alleged noncooperation from the company, as well as the fact that 'the CCPA has now been in effect for several years and regulators expect compliance.'" He also pointed out that "this was the first public action taken by the CPPA that involves job applicant data, 'an area many companies overlook and should carefully review.'"
