Is There Still Hope For A Federal Privacy Bill This Year?
Privacy & Data Security Chair Daniel M. Goldberg shares his thoughts with Allison Schiff at AdExchanger about the American Data Privacy and Protection Act (ADPPA). Daniel says, “The legislature will need to go back to the drawing board on the issue of preemption. Many privacy advocates are concerned that the preemption language in the ADPPA undermines the privacy protections offered by comprehensive state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act.”
