Los Angeles Times: Legal Visionaries
The Los Angeles Times and B2B Publishing feature Daniel M. Goldberg and Jeremy S. Goldman as Legal Visionaries in the Business of Law magazine. They are two of 101 Southern California attorneys recognized for their noteworthy achievements over the past 24 months. Daniel is recognized for Cyber Security and Jeremy for Intellectual Property.
Daniel is Chair of Frankfurt Kurnit’s Privacy & Data Security Group. Widely considered one of the top privacy and data security lawyers in the U.S., he has been consistently recognized by top legal rating organizations. He has been a leading voice on the interpretation and implementation of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and worked with more than 100 companies, ranging from multi-national corporations to start-ups, on various aspects of their CCPA compliance. Goldberg’s projects involve, among other things, addressing consumer requests, implementing “Do Not Sell” obligations, data mapping, updating contracts and policies, employee training, and responding to attorney general inquiries. He is also considered a leading expert on California’s new privacy law, the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and now actively helping clients address CPRA compliance obligations and prepare for new comprehensive state privacy laws from Virginia, Colorado, Utah, and Connecticut.
Jeremy is Co-Chair of the Blockchain Technology Group and partner in the Litigation Group at Frankfurt Kurnit, where he focuses on intellectual property, blockchain, technology, entertainment, media, commercial, and privacy law. Over his 17-year career as outside counsel, Goldman has developed a unique and substantial practice at the intersection of intellectual property and technology. He began his legal career in New York, starting at “Big Law” firm Fried Frank in 2005, then transitioned to media and entertainment powerhouse Frankfurt Kurnit in 2008, where he has proudly worked for 15 years. In 2015, Goldman co-founded the firm’s Century City office, which he helped grow from two to 20+ lawyers. Leveraging his understanding of tech, passion for copyright law, and experience in IP law, he has become a published legal expert in the world of NFTs and blockchain technology, speaking extensively and helping clients navigate the field.

Billboard Names Jacqueline Charlesworth to Its Women In Music Hall of Fame
Billboard magazine has again selected Frankfurt Kurnit partner Jacqueline Charlesworth for its Women in Music Hall of Fame. This singular honor recognizes artists, creators, producers, and executives for their contributions to the music industry and community. The award ceremony will take place on March 29 at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles. The magazine previously named Ms. Charlesworth Woman Executive of the Year for helping to create and pass the Music Modernization Act, landmark legislation that updated the U.S. music licensing system to streamline the licensing and payment process for digital music services.
