Recent NY Ethics Opinions: July/August 2015
Check out Tyler Maulsby's summaries of four ethics opinions issued in March and May 2015. The first three, issued by the NYSBA, focused on "Waiver of Appeal on Grounds of Ineffective Assistance of Counsel as Part of a Criminal Plea," "Ethical Implications of Communicating with Potential Clients on Social Media," and "Charging Processing Fee on Credit Card Transactions Used to Pay for Lawyer’s Services." The fourth was issued by the NYC Bar Association on the "Duties of Local Counsel."
