Variety’s Legal Impact Report 2022: Top Attorneys Winning Cases and Making Deals

Entertainment Partners Marcie Cleary, Andrew Hurwitz, and Sasha Levites are included in Variety’s Legal Impact Report. Interactive Entertainment Counsel Dorian Slater Thomas is included as an “Up Next” honoree in the report.

Marcie represents Charla Lauriston and Rekha Shankar (NBC Television’s “Grand Crew”); writer-actor X Mayo (Amazon’s series “Yearly Departed”); actor Marcel Spears (CBS Television’s “The Neighborhood”); and Mandii B and Bridget Kelly for a seven-figure podcast distribution deal. Her comedy clients include Danielle Perez, Nori Reed, Sam Taggart, Jes Tom and Jeff Wright.

Andrew and Sasha repped the Roald Dahl Story Company sale to Netflix and Yla Eason, adding her Black superhero Sun-Man to Mattel’s Masters of the Universe roster.

Dorian advised Epic Games, publisher of “Fortnite,” on development of several projects. He helped Meta’s Horizon Worlds with its Metaverse initiatives and advised on the structure of the company’s Oculus Launch Pad Program.
